FOXHOL - De politie heeft de afgelopen weken elf jongeren in de leeftijd van 12 tot 17 jaar uit Foxhol, Sappemeer, Kolham en Zuidlaren aangehouden. De bende, die zich de Foxholster White Gangsters noemt, heeft zich schuldig gemaakt aan diefstal van koper en lood, inbraken en vernielingen. Met de aanhouding van de groep heeft de politie 33 zaken opgelost. Een 39-jarige man uit Hoogezand is ook aangehouden. Hij wordt verdacht van heling van lood en koper. De elf jongens zijn na verhoor naar huis gestuurd en moeten zich binnenkort verantwoorden voor de rechter. Verveling en spanning waren voor de jongeren de belangrijkste drijfveren. De afgelopen twee jaar hebben ze Foxhol en Martenshoek in de greep gehouden. De impact van hun acties was groot.
