CHANDLER, AZ - Police in Chandler are looking for three people who stole a shopping cart full of alcohol and then fired a shotgun early Saturday (3/19/2011) morning at a Walmart store. According to Detective David Ramer with the Chandler Police Department, a man and two women were at the Walmart near Loop 202 and Gilbert Road around 3 am The suspects left the store with a shopping cart full of alcohol without paying, and an employee approached them to stop, Ramer said. That’s when the male suspect reportedly punched the employee in the face multiple times. Ramer said the suspects ran to their vehicle, a silver colored Dodge Neon with an unknown license plate. The male suspect then got a shotgun from the car and walked toward the Walmart entrance where he ordered employees outside to return to the store, Ramer said. As the employees headed inside, the male suspect fired a round toward three employees, striking a front glass window, Ramer said. No one was hurt from the shotgun blast. Police are asking you to check out the attached surveillance photos to help identify the suspects. The male suspect is described as being in his 20's and about 5-feet-7-inches tall with medium brown skin, Ramer said. The two women are heavy set with medium brown skin and are in their 20's, Ramer said.
