Wow amazing how much you can get done in a week. I put it all down to Unity’s crazy fast asset pipeline. Anyway here's whats been done this week : AI! Finally got the troops shooting, evading and patrolling like good troops should. New AI vehicle. The drone is a flying vehicle that spawns at the enemy base every so often and hunts you down. New player vehicle! The Lifter... This vehicle adds a great strategical element to the game. Now you can fly and carry any land vehicle to another part of the map, drop them off, jump out of the lifter, and cause some carnage! New water and shore. Everything destructible : All man made objects can be destroyed and satisfyingly shatter into chunks. Implemented Menus and interface. Dynamic loading of levels from a text file and a 257x257px png heightmap. Editor scripts to save levels to these 2 files in 1 click from within Unity. Working radar. super imposes crosses and dots for enemies over the heightmap image in the top right of the screen. Deadline is only 1 month away now so need to step on it. Make the final levels, get the sound fx in and then tweak like mad till it plays perfectly! There wont be an update next week. So it'll be 2 weeks till the next video! Thanks for watching!
