Iván Navarro’s work was already very present at ARCO, the contemporary art fair in Madrid, and now in Bratislava his work seems to be omnipresent. At The Armory Show, one of the highlights was his site-specific installation at the booth of Slovak National Gallery. The gallery is also presenting Iván Navarro’s work in a solo show at the gallery. The exhibition showcases new works by the Chilean artist. It features the fluorescent light sculptures the artist is known for. Iván Navarro was born in Santiago, Chile. His work is held in public and private collections such as the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (Washington, DC), the Saatchi Collection (London) and the Centro Galego de Arte Contempoanca (Santiago de Compostela, Spain). Iván Navarro currently lives and works in Brooklyn.
