As the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world, the Kingda Ka defies gravity and common sense. Its riders lose control of their facial muscles as the ride shoots to speeds of 128 mph in just 3.5 seconds. Interested in being rendered weightless for a few seconds? The Kingda Ka will gladly comply. The coaster, located in Jackson Township, New Jersey, is currently closed after lightning caused serious damage (and gave the paying customers the ride of their lives, no doubt).
