Complete idiots, my peaceful night sleep in a comfortable warm bed was dashed by these stupid little girls. I returned late myself at 1am after a few beers but if I knew people were in the room I'd be as quiet as a mouse and use a torch to prepare for bed. So when I rose this morning after only a couple of hours sleep I was as noisy as possible, banging doors, zipping and unzipping my bags, opening the curtains. I was hoping they would say something so I could open up with a barrage of abuse, but unfortunately they didn't say a word. I'm hitting the road again today after the excitement of yesterday's sky dive. Heading north along the west coast to the famous glaciers of Franz Joseph and Fox. Wanaka was my first stop this morning after driving on a great road from Queenstown across the Crown range. Wanaka is like a mini Queenstown, more laid back with equally impressive scenery. Appears to a lot less touristy and a lot more Kiwi. The road then follows the contours of another huge glacial lake, Hawea. This lake sits parallel to lake Wanaka in the east.
