One of the government buses but not too bad. The hotel I was supposed to have a reservation in was booked up so they decided to give me a tent! The porter looking after me was a bit over-friendly and at one point lunged forward to give me a big hug after several comments on how 'smart' I was... The Jury's out as to whether he was straight or not! Needless to say, I phoned Mukesh and got moved to a much nicer hotel... with a swimming pool! wow... Visited the amazing Jain temples nearby. If you've been to the Neasdon Mandir in London just think of that but on a bigger scale... and in much more natural surroundings. Managed to finish a very funny book called 'The White Tiger' by Aravind Adiga while lounging by the pool. Spoke to a couple of people during my stay there and have now decided to definitely try and add a visit to Sri Lanka to my adventure.
