Unless we get caught too much in the mind we can see this. Come into heart with me, then, and let’s play =D Being fully in the present may seem boring to mind. What’s going on, here, it says. What fun is this? I want to be elsewhere, elsewhen - I want to be having more fun than this, etc. Yep, the running commentary of mind. Well, that can go on, but you don’t have to stick around listening. You can “Go” elsewhere. Ever considered that? To dive fully into the present moment is to find self in Heart - to find Self in Heart. Never a moment of boredom in that. It’s not possible. Doesn’t exist. Cannot be found. But, there’s a price. Of course, there’s a price. The price is your mind. You let go of that. This is all. Just let go. Mind doesn’t cease to exist. It doesn’t even cease in its functioning. Mind goes right along. You just step away from it, that is all. You find you have a separate existence from that - from mind - you depart. The preparation for this lies in the oft’ repeated words, “Watch and observe.” This watching, this quiet, heart-centered observing has prepared you to step away, now. You can do it. At a certain point you realize that thoughts are like clouds floating by in the sky - they come and go. You don’t. They do. At some point you realize that it’s a choice, whether to go along with a thought, or just bid it adieu. With that comes your separation. You disidentify from mind. You find you have your own existence - one that’s not dependent on mind for its life. You are you. Mind is mind. They are not always one...
