Kinetic Concepts Inc. (NYSE: KCI) is talking through a sale with at least two private-equity firms that can possibly cost the company at more than $5 billion excluding debt, said two sources who declined their identities because of the private matter, according to a Bloomberg report.The transaction has become more difficult to pull off in recent weeks because of tightening debt markets, the people said. Discussion of the matter could still break down and there is no guarantee a deal will be reached.A spokesman for Kinetic declined to comment.Shares of Kinetic Concepts are trading up 10.48% at $64.94.
